It was christmas eve, and the small dog, curled up at the fireplace, was fast asleep, wriggling as he chased cats and sheep in his dreams, his adorable, christmassy pink bell collar jingling ever so softly as all his paws would wiggle occasionally, having such sweet dreams...
That was until he heard a shuffle, a rumble and a tumble down the chimney, a sack of presents plopping down on the cold logs below, followed by the careful tiptoe of a boot, softly climbing out the hole in the wall, as it grew taller into a large, hulking red figure.
Duski was startled! his jingling louder as he looked at the bearded man, panicing and thinking what to do, the white pompom of his hat bapping the sides of his face as it darted back and forth, before the man crouched down, reveiling his face as he slowly lit a nearby candle, illuminating a glass of milk and a mince pie ever so carefully laid out for a midnight visitor.
It was santa! Duski was so excited as his tail started to wag, he was about to bark before the jolly giant reached into his sack, and gave the tiny dog a small present.
"Shhhhhhhhhhhh~ Hello there, Duski, I have a very special present for you~! One of my reindeers has been tracking all the dogs in the neighboorhood to find the bestest, and I think this gift is right for you, now, who is a good boy? Who is it? Who is a good boy~!?"
The canine's whole body wagged with delight, as he opened the tiny parcel, lifting the lid and revealing a mirror at the bottom.
"Its you~! You're a good boy!!" Santa declared, the small dog's mind blown utterly as he knelt down and patted the horned canine softly, it was the bestest thing ever! and Duski would cherish it for ever! He was so over the moon, he barely took notice when the man started taking things and hoisting the TV out the window, the man's green suit twobbling with his stocky build as he took the car keys and headed out the front door, yeah, it was the best christmas ever!!! He had no idea why the family was so angry and told him he was a terrible guard dog, Santa said he was a good boy, and thats all that mattered!
