At A-Kon, I didn't spend all my time around the Antarctic Press table, oh no. I did want to pic up a piece of my Weretigress Pirate, Captain Tigré Calienté... but I had already filled up slots with Fred Perry and Ben Dunn with other ideas.

However, they weren't the only artists there. On the ground floor, where people were selling home-made prints, buttons, key-chains and other art goods, there was one artist who caught my eye. Very plain, quiet, humble, but there was something about her art that she had posted on her booth that seemed familiar.

Surprise, surprise! It was Meomeo from Deviant Art! A very nice woman to meet in person and she took interest in getting to draw an original character--she was apparently taken with the Captain. And she even finished the piece in the same day it was commissioned! Very punctual!

And so here we have the Captain. She may not be drawn by anyone from AP, but this is certainly one A-Kon commission I was impressed by!
