It's amazing how she goes from "aw cute!" to "OMGWTF I am dead" with just a lip curl. Those are some serious teeth right there.
Out of curiosity, how do the canines work? Top and bottom look about the same length, but the top ones stick out even when her mouth's closed . . . is the upper lip just looser, the teeth fit inside instead of outside? Is there some kind of evolutionary advantage to the upper ones being exposed like that, or is she just being deliberately adorable? :3

well, the bottom canines rest in front of the top canines when the mouth is closed, but the bottom ones rest inside the upper lip area when the mouth is closed. The bottom jaw is shorter than the top jaw, so the top canines cannot rest inside her bottom lip, so they hang out. That's how it works in my head anyway :1 As for evolutionary advantage, no more advantage than other animals who have long canines, I suppose. :)
Hehe, yeah, I totally asked the monkey on the "why do only the top teeth protrude" question, but it's always good to have confirmation. ^^; As for the lack-of-advantage, fair enough, it happens! You're just one of the few people who I believe would put that kind of thought into it, instead of just going "well it looks cute, doodle doodle doodle" and was curious.
They're not lure colours, they're really there for no real reason except I think she looks good this way. No individuals of her species have these markings except Astrid, so her tailtip colours are not an evolutionary trait, just her own markings. :)
And, she is a predator either way :P

Well, Astrid is adorable as ever... except when she's angry. I can't decide whether I want to snuggle her or run away?
Anyhow, I do have a question:
Although Astrid's pupils seem to usually be slits in your drawings, I've seen cats' eyes, and their pupils can be that thin, but then dilate to fill most of the eye in dark conditions. So, how much can Astrid's pupils dilate?
