This piece was a lot of fun to do. It involves River and Deidra going to an enchanted forest where every toon is turned into a Rankin-Bass styled character. This forest is the last one before the North Pole and helps weed out human invaders to Santa's workshop. If a human goes through, they will be distorted, as their body is not used to the changes toons go through. Once out of the forest, toons go back to normal.

I really enjoy the rankin-bass art style and have wanted to draw characters in this style for a while. This was a good excuse to do so. I was inspired by Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph, and Rudolph's Shiny New Year for the art style. Deidra's look is more goofy, while river's is more feminine. Of course, Deidra is so confused!
