It was Christmas morning, and Ali was sharing the holiday with a good friend who also didn't have any family in the Forest. She'd slept in just enough for it to feel like a proper day off, but not so much that the festivities had been overly delayed. Her friend had just sat down on the couch with two mugs of coffee as the door to Ali's room swung open and she came shuffling out. Still blinking the sleep from her eyes, she flashed her friend a smile. It was to be a fun, casual holiday, and Ali had the casual outfit to match. She'd been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear her new circuit board Christmas tree sweater!

Also, don't worry, Ali had several eager invitations for her to join other groups of her friends for the big day! She'd just opted for a smaller event this time around, and there had never been a chance she'd be alone.
