I meant to design Deidra's parents for a while now but, since they aren't as important as the teen characters, they kind of took a backburner to them.

The Doesly family is lower-middle class. The parents both have to work in order to have a stable lifestyle. They live in an apartment in Rose Beach, not an amazing one, but cozy enough for all three of them. They have a landlord named Alistair Aardvark who is keen on getting his payments on time. Once, the Doesly's didn't pay their rent on time and nearly faced eviction. I made their color palettes dull, but with something colorful in them. Darlene has bright pink lipstick and Dan has a green tie.

They met in London in a toon neighborhood. Although it was a city with many toons, there were many hate crimes against them as well. The couple decided to flee from the violence towards the countryside and homeschool their daughter so they could hide from the world.

Darlene Doesly:

I originally created Darlene as Fawn Deer's sister when Deidra was a Bonkers OC. She and her husband are actually very old characters, made back in 2012, but I haven't had the urge to draw them. Her original name was Dawn, probably because it rhymed with Fawn.I changed it to Darlene because it sounded more mom-like. She is a secretary for a lawyer. Usually, she is very friendly, but also ignorant and aloof towards her daughter's struggles. She tries to care about her daughter, but doesn't really understand her.

Daniel "Dan" Doesly:

Of course, he has antlers, and he's also a roe deer so I made them roe deer antlers. Deidra often goes to him for advice. Although a good listener, he also doesn't understand his daughter's struggles. He is usually very busy in his job of advertising and works late into the night.
