This is some old Tower Records artwork I sketched for a display for their "Eat The Rich" album when I was working as a staff artist there. This pic came up from replies I bounced with another FA member. I promised to put it up, so here it is. I only wish I could have saved the final colored display I did in foamcore at the store...

I'm sure the boys saw nothing of it... It was just advertisement art for their new album at one record store. I think the only piece of artwork I ever did get the attention of the actual artist was HOWARD STERN in a company-wide display contest featuring Stern's PRIVATE PARTS movie. The project of mine was massive and I won 2nd place for my store. The prize? A signed-videotape copy of his movie and a phone call from Stern himself to the store manager...(I didn't get to talk with him...whah.) Also I got 100$...which went really quick when I was living in LA...
It was all for the giant opaque line transfer to foamcore that this looks so unfinished, Mike. I got it to the point where I could see all the details clearly inside the darkened room.
BTW...do you know of any artist (other than me...) that uses a opaque projector anymore? I know Steven Martin had one...

It probably went like any other release: Hard-core fans bought it, so-so fans got it when convenient, and the general public took pot-shots in their buying. The one track LIVING ON THE EDGE is still being played on stations as a bonafied staple of playlists. Did my efforts help? I dunno.
