I suppose the scientific method has not yet been developed. Ka jumps to pretty serious conclusions through extrapolation, never having actually witnessed a cycle of seasons. While based on our own understanding of how stellar mechanics work it does sound like a reasonable assumption, but based on the information presented it is a little bit unfounded. This is the kind of case where I say being right for the wrong reason can be bad for future choices.

While that is true I personally am amazed that after not even one year anybody at all is even trying to understand the world in this way and on top of that is using actual logic and not just saying it's ghosts or god or something.

The characters are also clearly experiencing partial memories from some kind of past lives. I definitely get the feeling that their understanding of the world is given a huge boost there, even if it's just at the level of unconscious intuition.

That certainly is a fair assessment, though if that is the case, some certainly have way more such intuitions than others, as evidenced by the one assuming the local downwards trend in precipitation is a global trend. Unless I suppose they come from a past life with no cyclic nature in weather patterns, which is also entirely possible I guess.

Honestly it does align with memory-loss experiences, even if someone forgets who they are they often times still remember math, languages, etc, and can still have their basic mental palaces - it’s like the lights went out so they can’t see it anymore but everything’s still there. I feel like they have still retained their core selves and whatever types of mindsets even if their memories are obscured....This has me wondering if their experiences with the Happy Light Bars is comparable to a sort of electroconvulsive therapy that aims to rewrite/alter/erase their traumas..?

I'm personally concerned that Ka manipulated Webings to some degree by offering a non-guaranteed room in the Great Hall. It's effectively an early form of baiting a voter into voting a specific way by offering potential legislation beneficial to said voter. I don't think Ka is being malicious but it is manipulative.

I think you bring up a solid point and I must admit it's difficult to constrain myself to the knowledge they likely have. However, I do think it is conceptually reasonable to err on the assumption that events can often be cyclical or re-occurring, and Ka has likely reached this hypothesis from the lunar cycles and seasonal quarter (half maybe? I need to make a timeline for this...) that Posea has experienced. At that point, I think the primary concern should be whether or not the Great Hall is a waste of labour and resource better spent elsewhere, and given the vote, maybe that is the case. It's certainly going to be interesting to see how it progresses from here on out though. I am concerned that Ka's observational abilities are going to prove detrimental at some point in the future, but perhaps I'm too paranoid?

Ka is paying a lot of attention it seems which I think is really cool! I bet she'll want to know everything, or at least question everything ^^
Otherwise it is a very adorable page again, I love their raising hands system because not only is it logical and easy but it also looks adorable! Such cute paws! >.<
The tiny banana being rased is also cute for some reason XD
Oh and I like the head leaning on shoulder action in that one panel
(and I see the cat thing hanging in there stealthily!)

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all thr- oh, I am not cut out for making a witty alteration for this to work... I will say this is quite a pleasant surprise before Christmas!

One minor detail that got me was between panels 6 and 7. I'm running on no sleep so my brain did not immediately process they were actively holding a vote yet. I guess I was expecting a tiny panel of various hands up or down but it jarred me a little bit.

That aside, this is absolutely wonderful and I'm super glad I decided to check before going to bed. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Trig!

dialogue is absolutely brilliant, i love watching them explain the basis of various natural habits of the world. It's like watching the lifeblood of civilization form in front of you and it's so beautiful.
I think i know another kind of fruit webbings wants to deposit 😉
