This tank-hunter on the basis of the Panzer 38(t) was one of the emergency solutions the wehrmacht had to use . While the first ones were equipped with an russian 76.2 mm cannon get the later variants ( this one belongs to then ) an German pak 40 as main-gun .

I guess you mean the Panzerjäger 1 (the word means tankhunter and whitout a number or addon it can mean a lot ) , while it was simitary constucted was it not part of the Marder series which came out far later . Yes this is a marder , one of the three main building types within the III line basing on the Panzer 38(t) .
