This is Mages. His world used to be full of spellcasters and wizards and such, but they died out a long time ago. Nowadays their leftover magic gets entangled with common creatures and items, resulting in new beings like him

Mages is naturally inclined to lightning magic - strikes from his teeth or ring can spark and burn, and being in thunderstorms gives him a huge energy boost. He's still learning how to control his skills, so in the meantime is prone to random zaps and bursts of electricity, making him quite a hazard to be around

Normally he's a friendly, outgoing guy, but constantly being a source of fear and danger has given him a grumpy and intense outer shell that's difficult to break through

Due to 'shhh it's magic' rules, his ears aren't hurt at all while he drags and whips them around
