I know, that always bugs me so much....movie monsters with zero sense of self-preservation. If your prey shoots guns & explosives at you even the dumbest predator would at some point seek easier prey. xD

Can swamp biter regenerate their eyes or does it remained damaged like a normal animal when it get stabbed in the eye?

Maybe in the far future another Hillander will be visiting that area and finding a huge fat salamander blind on an eye.

...Or not, I definitely wouldn't want to go there again.

The eye will most likely stay blind. Not a big loss though since they don't use their eyes much to begin with. They can regenerate limbs though, just like real salamanders.

I appreciate this portrayal of a wild predator.

They tend not to keep trying to eat something that stabs it's eye out. Hunting the Berg just cost this guy a vital sense and depth perception and a lot of pain. The Berg ain't worth it.
