Calem was just walking back home when one of the vending machines on the sidewalk suddenly opened a hidden compartment on top, making a big robotic arm to come out of it.
Hearing the loud metallic noise, the cottony boy tried his best to jump away from it, but unfortunately the arm was just too quick, grabbing him by the leg and pulling him inside the machine, closing the opening on top afterwards, disappearing from sight as fast as it appeared.

The poor cottonling couldn't see anything inside the cold machinery, only being able to feel his body melting while a funny fizzy feeling permeated inside his liquid form, like something was pouring bubbles into him.
After a while Calem could finally see light again, staring at the sidewalk and street, everything covered by a glassy sheen, he soon realized what happened: He was all melted and bottled up, now being sold as mere soda inside the vending machine!

Now all that he could do was to keep staring at the people passing by and gazing towards him, his liquid fizzy form slowly slushing around as some of his neighbor bottles were bought away. He only hoped that someone would notice the silly startled expression stamped on his bubbly liquid body instead of being casually drank away like a sugary treat... such aggressive marketing these days!
