Could be worse, it could be raining.
Actual mood this year if I'm honest. Where I live its been unseasonably warm, combine that with all of the chaos of 2020 and I've been having a real hard time getting into the Christmas Spirit. This year we didn't even put out the proper tree just the miniature fiber optic one and sat it on a table.
I've been taking a little break from the comic to focus on a few vaguely holiday related drawings to try and bolster my spirit (idk if its working)

I think I know how Hazel feels: she really doesn't like holidays.
My parents are long gone, my sister and her family agree that with the virus we need to stay separate, and I haven't heard from my oldest brother in three years (I haven't found his obituary either, yet). I'd make dinner for my GF, but she's headed for upstate New York Thursday night. At least Wednesday is date night -- and we won't get snowed out this time.

I'd say 'hopefully 2021 will be better' but honestly I have my doubts. Ugh at the very least I was hoping 2020 would be the first year of having a stable pay check in my life, a year where it might be feasible to move out of my parent's place... Nope! After years of nearly yearly job changes, a tornado destroying my first actual 'stable' job last year, and now this... Kinda seems like anymore each year tops the previous in ridiculous ways to go wrong.
JK, I've always found watching "A Christmas Carol" (Patrick Stewart) always puts me into the "Christmas Spirit". I prefer the Patrick Stewart version because, after reading the original story, I found that it follows the original story more closely than any other, especially those damnable so-called comedies of "A Christmas Carol".
However, as for not being in the Christmas spirit, I got a call from a cousin of mine Sunday night. She told me that our uncle who was 84 years old, died while being taken to a hospital about 90 miles away. Sunday was his 84th birthday. I've got to take my mother to his funeral this afternoon. So, I do hope your Christmas is better than mine will be.

Well drawn!
Also, I don't blame you.
But where I am, it's very unlively; there's little to nothing to do there, (as far as entertainment goes) and there's plenty of friendly people, but most of them I just don't seem to connect, too.
It's just something about my small town, where it's SO boring and desolate, that the best thing to come out of it is ACTUALLY the animals around there...including the coyotes, of all things!

Indeed.
Granted, if I WANTED to live in a mess, I could have lived...in NIGHT VALE. XD (If you haven't watched "Welcome To Night Vale"; it's clever horror comedy podcast, that's news radio from a desert town...in the middle of the TWILIGHT ZONE! You can always check it out on YouTube, if you're ever curious!)
