One of my most recent D&D creations: Cisero P. Alveinor-Guthi! You can call him Cisero for short. :D
Cisero is a male lizardfolk who appears to be in his mid 20's. In the 5e campaign that he's currently part of he takes on the class of a Bard, though realistically he can be played as any of the Charisma based castors (Bard, Sorcerer, Warlock). His subclass is a homebrewed class called the College of Jesters, which brings forward a more aggressive use of the Bard's Inspiration dice. I chose this subclass for him as a bard rather than any of the official classes because I felt as if it fit his personality best. This is also why his magic takes the form of playing cards and why he carries several decks with himself. This particular theme was inspired by @FelixIrnich's (on twitter) D&D character Mr. Crackers, who has a similar theme, but a completely different personality.

Cisero is a bit of a mixed bag; his true intentions often difficult to pin down. Though he is rather flashy, flamboyant, and especially flirty, he tends to have a bit of a manipulative streak; willing to say whatever he needs to get what he wants out of his "victim". Sometimes he's a genuinely honest lad. Sometimes he's just telling you what you want to hear. Sometimes he's plain talking out of his ass. Who really knows. But damn if he isnt a convincing fellow. ;P
So what's with Cisero? What kind of a bard is he in this case? Well, see, in line with his personality, he's a performance bard. No stranger to being the center of attention this rather unique lizardfolk has no problem commanding the attention of the masses, but for what purpose? Well, more often than not its simply to sate his own narcissistic tendencies and to drink in the praise of the masses, but for all you know there's a party of friends behind his little show and he's just the distraction. Who really knows?
Now that's all fine and dandy, but how does he get around with that skull face he's got? Surely the average folk of the D&D universe are not ok with some undead lookin' ass walking the streets. Well you'd be right there anonymous reader. Our crafty friend here puts his Charlatan skills to use, and through the use of both a Disguise kit and the Disguise Self spell can alter himself to look as he wishes, though often only does so to his face so that he can blend in. Why would he want to alter the rest of himself after all? Who wouldnt want to cast their gaze upon his beautiful scales?
As for how he got the way that he is? Well that's a good question my friend. Cisero doesnt even rightly know himself. His memory only goes back the last two years or so. He doesn't much care who he was before though. He's impulsive, living for the here and now, and that's all he cares about. As far as he's concerned he's been given a second chance at life, and he aims to have as much fun in this second skin as he can.
