Another replica! This time an LCT HK33A2. Decided to put a double of it, so I could show both sides, might do the same for all future replicas I post.
A short brief of what the H&K HK33 is in real life: The HK33 is essentially a G3 scaled down to fire the 5.56mm round instead of the 7.62mm round. Alternatively, an MP5 scaled up, depending on how you look at it. While they werent adopted by the German Bundeswehr, they do see adoption around the world, Thailand, Turkey & Ecuador for example, as well as with many police units, especially the shorter carbine version, the HK53.
Its an interesting rifle in that it didnt secure any really large scale military contracts despite being a generally well liked rifle by those who use it from what Ive gathered. Variants include a sliding stock version, similiar to the HK G3A4 & MP5A3 for example, but also a compact version, the HK53, wich is essentially an MP5 sized carbine.
As for the replica, its a good one, though I can see the stock being a weak point, as it lacks metal reinforcements, so I am somewhat sceptical if it will support the admittedly heavier-than-G3-replica weight when slung using the regular sling mounts. A demerit for such an otherwise excellent replica.
