When the air of winter's chill never reached the shores of the island one could almost forget there was such a season. But the nightly air washed over the bungalows and dirt paths that dotted the inner hills away from sandy shores. It gave a chill that felt like the ice, all the better to stay warm inside. But during the day it was very different. The sun beat down seemingly from all angles, warmth touching everything that wasn't under cover of trees or a beach umbrella. Sophia didn't much mind though, as she worked outside most days. The daily routine of growing and maintaining the natural plant-life and the exotic flora that was occasionally brought in. But today she was all on her lonesome, sitting on one of several piers, hooves barely touching the salty sea water that ran aground before retreating. Sometimes she needed a day to get away, even on this island getaway. A beach day like every day, but with cares thrown to the wind like the petals of a flower or leaves from a tree.
