I went on a quick walk around a local park and pond today and encountered something very um.. out of the ordinary.
Now first of all, just to preempt any questions here: Yes, that's my hand in the photo there. And yes, my skin is a nice alabaster coated in a mother-of-pearl whiteness bordering on transparent. And no sunscreen!!! In Colorado... In June.
I told you that to tell you this: The fifteen minute walk around the park had roasted me to a nice tender red. I know, it didn't take long eh? Some could say it was because of the summer sun, but my theory is far more sound. I think it was because I was trapped by this fluffy planetoids gravitational pull and was actually burning up on entry to it's atmosphere.
I mean, when I came up on it near the pond's edge, I thought was a cat at first.. No! A small moon.. No! A space station. It didn't matter! LOOK AT THIS THING!!! Just.. LOOK! Next to it is a regular dandelion being held in a regular hand. It wasn't until after I snapped the photo did I realize that I was probably dangling one of it's dead babies in it's face and decided I needed to briskly walk away. Preferably before I started hearing some black woman's voice come from this plant and overbearingly demand "FEED ME!"
After some trying, I eventually achieved escape velocity and made it back to the car just fine.
