We call them "crawdads" down south. (yes, I have roots in Louisiana). It doesn't matter! We all know what they are.

This one was probably six inches long and in the shallows of a pond I went on a brief walk around. He was just one of many. Deeper in and darting about where a BAJILLION of these guys. I'm dead friggin serious.. They were everywhere!

Call them Crawdads up here in Wyoming too. Used to catch them by the bucket full as a kid just for the hell of it. Some of them had mean pincers...
