Isis (the egyptian goddess, not the islamists) is Bastets mother (and Anubis aunt), who jumped ship when the egyptian religion about 2021 years ago went down and used her cult in the roman empire to get a gig with father who was feeling like starting a family AND starting hot a new religion in the process.
