You guys remember Sook, my nightmare monster? Well, this is a mock up of how his skull is. I decided to make an entire species out of him, Atrox Turpis (Horror Unseen). They are adaptive creatures from the far of world of Janvis, a planet similar to our own. They have bright white fur, to help them blend into the northern snow caps, where they are native. They have a horn constructive of an organic metal, which is as tough as Steel and as sharp as blade. It has retractable canines, which sink deep into its pray, usually killing it. If the victim survives, Atrox Turpis has elongated skull fragments, which mimic its teeth, that are coated with a mutated flue virus, which quickly paralyses the pray. The flue virus was recently adopted by the monsters shortly after the arrival of human settlers. Before this, they were coated in a weaker, local virus. Two modified carnassial teeth tip the end of its long, forked tongue. When close enough, they snap together and draw the victim towards the creatures jaw.

The reason there is only a skull is because i have not yet given them a body. I tried anthropomorphic, didn't work. Snake, the same thing, and dragon too. If anyone has any interest in helping me design its body and limbs please feel free to try =]

The reason i drew this skull is because I have started to write a story, about a human settlement on the planet, slowly being killed off by these creatures, called Break Necks by the humans, due to their incredible reflexes.
