Well they still play holiday songs, there's a dead body wearing a Santa hat, and John uses Christmas wrapping to tape a gun to his back.
Plus not all Christmas movies need to have reindeer or Santa or play off any of the tropes to be a Christmas movie. I mean its like saying Home Alone isn't a Christmas movie.
