This was a piece I did as my first foray into a complete scene and complex backgrounds, and that fact was also the inspiration for the scene itself and title. Since I felt pretty comfortable with drawing my character Theodore after just completing his ref sheet, part of why I made it to begin with, I focused on getting a background I was happy with. I didn't use tree brushes like I should have but I found a way to make them look decent without redoing them completely, but that is just one of many reasons to return and do a "remaster" of this piece someday. This was also the last drawing done with my Huion 1060 Plus tablet since I was running out of Micro-USB connectors that worked.
