UGH...I'm suffering from such a bad case of post-con depression right now. ;n;
Anyway, this is the badge I made for myself for Califur 2010. The theme for the convention was comics/funnies/superheroes (I guess?), so I wanted a badge that had a somewhat comic look to it, but sci-fi based. So the night before the con, I quickly opened up the "Coming to Bed?" .psd file and cropped the shit out of it. Yes, I cropped out the giant penis. TOUGH! >:C
While at the con, I looked for a way to have it turned into a nice laminated badge, but couldn't find any lamination stations this year, besides the expensive FedEx store inside the hotel, but I found this awesome dude in the first row of the Dealer's Den who turns art into awesome metal badges. I gave him the file, and after some fiddling to make my pic fit the size format (which is why the badge doesn't look exactly like the original), he got the pic on a silvery piece of metal. He even threw in a free magnet clip, so it doesn't use a pin or a clamp like normal badges. Instead, it simply clings to a magnet strip (as seen in the pic) on the other side of my shirt and lets the power of magnetism + friction do the work.
Anyway, just wanted to share this with you guys. I've got some sketches to submit soon from the con, so watch out for those!
