~12" x 28". pencil, ink. 2006.

I'm looking up references and was reminded of this image made for anatomy homework. It's my right hand from observation (I'm left-handed), drawn at actual size. Brown, blue and white colored pencil, pink marker on masonite.

Blurry digital photo, sorry.

These hands are pretty great. I find hands to be the hardest thing to draw, mine usually come out as either abstract shapes that kind-of-resemble hands, or sausages.

I notice you used International Deaf Hand Signs for your study. Do you have a deaf friend that you learned this for or was it just some random idea you chose because of the shapes and positions of the hands in general.
