Once the frets are re-crowned you want to focus on the fret ends. I do this with my modified tri edge file. The corners have been rounded over on a belt sander so they stand a much lower chance at marring the fretboard. The basic idea is to cut a tiny little bevel on the edges of the fret end deburring it and making them all look uniform and pretty. this takes some practice. I wish I had a better camera so you could actually see that tiny bevel :(
