God, only one con and my RED intel is beat to hell. Probably because it's not just a prop for me, I actually carry stuff in it, like art supplies. I'll probably be taking this to AnthroCon too, but with the amount of use it's had, I think I may have to retire it after AC or maybe Metrocon (if it survives Metrocon) and switch to the new BLU case I'm making.
So yeah, this is my RED intel case from Team Fortress 2. Materials to make this were a briefcase from Goodwill, foam, sharpie, duct tape, athletic tape, spraypaint, masking tape, and gorilla glue.

It does have a folder inside it (I didn't build it, the briefcase came that way), but if it's not fully latched, the briefcase just sort of falls all the way open.
That said...I could always find a way to make a little pocket on the outside for paper. That'd probably be fun. 8D
