I might be banned from ever entering China now.
I feel like I need to clarify. I have a deep respect for the chinese people and their culture. ButI despise the increasingly tyrannical, neo-stalinist chinese gouverment, the CCP and its supreme leader Xi Jinping. I started this artwork originally back when the great protests in Hongkong startet. I now decided to finish it as I read the news that the leaders of the protests like Joshua Wong were sentenced to prison sentences. Of course there are other things in China I don´t want to leave unmentioned, like the genocide of the Uygurs and the occupation of Tibet. Also fuck our goouverment for not sanctioning the crap out of China in the name of good economic relations (german companies moving manufacturing jobs to China where they get fucked over by their partners and get their patents stolen).

Its sad to see how companies and bow the knee to china for pure economic reasons and are willing to ignore the greusome deeds and crimes against humanity commited by the CCP
Its sad that many goverments in the EU including my country the netherlands also rather have trade with china instead of standing up against the tyrant
I think they did speak out once and said "ccp bad" yet contineu to trade only to find out china spies in many of companies here

Same here in Germany. Our gouverment always claims they are in a "critical dialoge" with the chinese gouverment. Bullshit. The chinese laugh about that chritical dialoge. Appeasement never worked, that is something history tells us. We have to draw a lline in the sand and stand by it.
