Last night, I went on a full moon snowshoeing hike on a section of the Tahoe Rim Trail. This picture was taken in a clearing just over a half mile from the highway at an elevation of about 9150 feet. The city that you see is Reno, NV, and the mountain in the distance is Slide Mountain, on which the Mt. Rose ski resort is located. The image is a 30 second exposure with the only light sources being the full moon and the city lights of Reno.

I hope to see more because this just rocks!
The shots on this trip were a little rushed as I was with a large group of people hiking, but I really enjoyed how the long exposure worked with the full moon and the reflective snow. I'll get more up soon, promise!
