The other day, I was going to draw more frog Barbara, but after drawing a whole bunch of pics, I felt I needed to try something else, get some variety. This idea has been on my mind since I did the original pic, so I decided to give it a try.
I gotta say, I'm amazed at how good it came out. The original sketch had some minor errors that I had to fix, but that was no trouble at all. The end result is really impressive. Especially because this is done with no references. Well, not quite no references. I mean, I had a reference for Sailor Moon and Luna's face, also Sailor Moon's hair, but I still had to draw it basically from scratch because quite a bit changed. Especially for Sailor Moon.

I think what's going on is fairly clear. Since Majori (witch from previous pic) got the better of Sailor Moon, Luna's gotta get her to safety and find the other Sailor Scouts. It would probably be much easier if Serena would stop crying and complaining. I mean, this whole situation isn't exactly fun for poor Luna, either!

I originally drew this pic with a starscape background, but a friend recommended using the background from the original pic. Despite all the work I put into that starscape, this does look better. The starscape looked too . . . realistic? Yeah, I'm going with that. It looked too realistic for the cartoony figures to look like they belonged. I guess I'll save that for something else.
