Wish I was this good with watercolors. I'm still workin' on techniques for them. <:)

Watercolors always seemed easy to me, but I know that I could do better than this. I like them because they're a loose sort of medium that you can refine over time to get details in, and they're an easy cleanup.

Also, if you use bristol or illustration board, you can go back in with colored pencil. It's a little harder to do so on the highly textured watercolor paper.

It's one of those paintings that's good, but I can do better. If I wanted to be nuts about it, I'd go back in with gouache and give her more texture, but this works. I'm trying to work myself up to a piece that has a full background, and contains as much texture detailing as a Dark Natasha or Goldenwolfen piece.

I know I can do it, it's just really hard to commit to something for more than one or two sessions for me. Digital has ruined me, when I can get everything done in one sitting!

I adore cheetahs. I want to play with some color variations of them. Melanistic, albino, and the king cheetah variety.
