I have issues with Christmas. Not big ones but stress ones. Until I get my shopping and cards done I don't want to be reminded that the 25th is barrelling down on me. I resent hearing carols in the stores and the constant "so many days to Christmas reminders". But once I do get it all done the relief is intense and I can relax and enjoy things. I am at this point now so to celebrate I painted this. A pretty rather carousel like Yule Caribou. Ah that felt good.

That's very pretty! I love the details on the a tlers and legs.
You have my sympathies on Christmas shopping. It's weird, no problem getting gifts for my folks (uh, if kring years where I ordered late enough i wasn't sure things would arrive on time...), but getting gifts for everyone else just becomes a knit in my head with the generous part of me fighting the penny pincher.

Wow, he is GORGEOUS. And yes, I feel the same way you do. I dread going to stores. They have Christmas stuff out alongside the Halloween stuff in October. It's stupid. And the Christmas songs playing over and over and over and over are maddening. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas. Just not the retail version! It's too stressful.
