For Ender, nothing really goes in her favor. Whether it’s being in the custody of a corrupt king and deranged doctor and being left with many mental and physical scars, getting hunted down by said king and doctor, being a target for hatred and violence, or being perused by the wrong kind of people. Regardless, it’s the truth. After all, it doesn’t matter whether those shackles are mental or physical, she will always be trapped in her own personal hell
