Next in my series of Final Fantasy XV Centaurs is my personal favorite Chocobro, the sharpshooting sunshiny shutterbug Prompto Argentum! 🌞
His hair may look like a chocobo butt, but I decided to turn his actual butt into something canine, partially so he’d be congruent with the other four-legged Chocobros in this series, partially because my friend
red-box already drew Prompto as a chocobotaur last year as a birthday gift for me 😋 Mostly, though, I chose to make Prompto a canitaur (I personally prefer the term “dogtaur”, but that, too, would be incongruent with the rest of this series’ nomenclature) because dogs are famous for their loyalty, their playful dispositions, and for the joy they bring to so many people’s lives. All three of these descriptors perfectly describe Prompto, especially considering how dogs are known as man’s best friend and Prompto’s best friendship with Noctis is one of the most heartwarming (and later heartwrenching 😢) elements of Final Fantasy XV’s narrative. All I can say is anyone would be lucky to have a friend as devoted as Prompto, you’ll just have to get used to supplying him with plenty of belly rubs in return for his unshakeable affection.
