The Paulos are the drekir who are descended of the people of Sao Paulo who woke up 3000 years after the pulse. There are over 30 villages in this cultural group that dot the Southeastern Brazilian coastline that eek out a solid living by fishing the coast, trading with the abyssal aquatic drekir of the region, and hunting/gathering the nearby coastal lands. They worship a bal known as Mykonol (seen with the sculpture) and believe that the world they live in is a world started anew by the 16 "Howls of the North" (Uivos do norte) who are a newly constructed pantheon of gods that they believe overthrew the Reign of God.
They don't wear much, being in an incredibly humid and hot part of the world most of their clothing is decorative and obviously outfits vary by individual to individual. Making hats of woven reed fiber is very common, simply knotted together to form a simple hat. It is also common for the drekir of the Paulos tribes to cut their own feathers or dangle rings of makeshift jewelry from their feathers. Green oval beads are sometimes worn on the thigh as a signifier of how many dire crabs that drek has hunted and is used as a sign of honor.
Aquatic drekir don't wear much for obvious reasons... being underwater most of the time, though these aquatics also refrain from tatoos or jewelry due to their belief that they are a sacred and perfect being and they shouldn't taint their bodies with inks or piercings nor hide it under shells and shiny things.
