It was a little dingy owned by my sailing school at/in/on(?) Malta. And yes, it nearly happened. The boat capsized (not a big deal, though), but unfortunately the mast hid me, and I was knocked out. Without my security vest (and I had laughed over it!), my corpse would have never been found...
