some suit makers use resin as a head base instead of foam or plastic canvas...it's stronger, durable and since your not cutting away a foam and having a huge loss in supplies you can make these relatively cheap...the start up is NOT cheap but once you have a sculpture made and make a mold you can create multiple copies...so if I wanted to make a generic head that could work for a cat, dog, rabbit, etc I could cast quite a few very quickly...much faster than carving blocks of foam....plus I think it's ALOT easier to adhere fur to the head like this...it's also EXTREMELY light
start up was about $100
could probably make about 3 casts from the resin I bought (resin was about $30?)

Hmmm... not to bad for cost. Think my foam for head made was about $100 and I got enough left over I could make a 2nd (more if I didn't acidently make it lil to big)
It's stronger, but alot suiters seem get smacked around from kind of rough play, so how well would it handle being roughed up? Like personly, i'm crazy type that would go divin into odd places and walk face first into walls (even out suite! and not on purpose)
