Walk the Plank (1/2)

Well, Jit's done it now! He joined Vurga's crew and really upset his new captain. What did he do? ...He slightly burnt Vurga's french toast sticks. Obviously there was no choice but to discipline the squirrel harshly.

There is only one punishment for poor behavior among Vurga's crew. Walking the plank, a pirate punishment going back to their planetary days. It used to be that bad pirates were walked off a plank on the side of the ship and into the ocean. But there's no ocean in space. Fortunately, Vurga has somewhere even better! His tummy.

If his crew isn't useful as pirates, they can be useful as tonight's dinner. Besides, if they aren't good pirates, the galaxy is obviously far too dangerous for them! Best they go somewhere warm and cozy. And really, Vurga's happy to have them as part of him. Just because you're meant to be tummy and not crew doesn't mean he's not still your friend!

Jit doesn't look too sure about this. He joined up with Vurga's crew looking for adventure, but he doesn't really want to be a pirate anymore! It's too scary! But the other end of the plank is occupied by Vurga's sword-toting crew. Those blades look sharp and pointy! The deep, black pit of Vurga's gullet seems like a much softer way to go. Jit doesn't want to take the dive, but as those swords get closer, he realizes he might not have a choice!
