Gasp! A male character! This is certainly a rare sight from me. >3>’

A character created for  VDOPlus, Septu is a Lucario/Doublade hybrid that is the mate to Kepi the Luxray/Arcanine in an Egyptian style setting and world. I was very happy with the privilege to make Septu after well over a year of being offered the task. Kepi is comfortably my 2nd favorite member of VDO’s cast and someone I also designed for him. ^.^

Septu’s “steel” part of his body is actually bronze metal to be a bit more reflective of the time period. When he transforms the back of his hand spikes into Metal Claw, they form khopesh style blades. In keeping with the Doublade part of him, the little fabric ghost hand like parts of the Pokemon we have coming out of the back of those hand spikes to form a sort of ghostly axillary hands. There is a lot of potential there! >3>

For the outfit, I used several references VDO supplied me unlike with Kepi who was more referenced from our good friend  Stampy’s Kiya. Elements used for Septu I had already planned for a male character of my own, Ix the Ninetales who is officially incomplete but you can find Patreon doodles of him in a folder in my gallery. His outfit is to be Stargate theme to represent his specialty in futuristic technology.

The bluish material in his outfit and also the same color of his eyes is turquoise.

Done with mechanical pencil on white card stock paper and colored digitally in Photoshop CS5.
