Continuing the march to 15, we got Zari Zari was the 35th Beast from Ep.33 of UFO Robot Grendizer Anime. This creature was a small docile life form from Planet Zari, converted into a Saucer Beast after exposure to its Vegatron contaminated environment and heavy gravity of its home world made it aggressive, bigger & strong; it was indeed the sole living creature on the planet when Vega took over. The Vehicle form was a conventional disk, purple and gray in color, with a yellow horn and purple tail coming out. The Beast form resembles a giant purple worm with disks shells for shoulders, with a gray and dark arms with claws for hands adorn with spikes, a dark neck section with a green head and red eyes and the mouth possessing tusks and sharp teeth. Zari could unleashed an energy attack from its horn and red fire from the mouth(Proton Bomb Fire or Vegatron presumably), and possessed great strength and speed.

The episode starts with a flotilla of Attack Minifos on to Earth under Minister Zurin's command; meanwhile, Daisuke makes a practice ride on one of the horses, when he falls, avoiding killing a small bird with a hurt wing, and gives it to Goro to treat it. However, his old wound on his right arm open in the fall, though tells Hikaru not to worry and continues with the Practice ride. At the observatory, Umon treats it with his healing machine, but reminds Daisuke it stops the pain but not the spreading of the wound. Afterward the base detects the Attack fleet and Daisuke deploys Grendizer to fight them.

Grendizer meets up with the fleet and fights them, the battle been studied by Zurin via a spy vessel tagging along with the fleet, searching for a weakness in the robot. Duke disposes of the Minifos, but Zurin (despite been reprimanded by General Gandal for the fleet's destruction) discovers its weakness: the Mecha only been able to jump a maximum of 350 meters in height and requiring the Spazer for flight.

Side note 1: I don't think you needed to waste an entire attack force for such an obvious detail; after 32 episodes, I think these guys should had known by this point of such detail. How are they a Star Spanning Empire, again?

Zurin chooses Saucer Beast Zari Zari for the mission: the creature's strength and speed, born from its survival capabilities on its dying home world (whose gravity was 13 times greater than Earth), made it suited for the mission and its deploy to Earth. Meanwhile, Daisuke learns of the condition of the small bird, and wanting to help, takes it to Umon who uses his healing machine to mend its broken wing. Seeing the results, Daisuke asks the Professor to use it on his arm, to easy the pain so he can fight; afterwards, Zari is detected and Daisuke deploys Grendizer to fight the Beast.

Duke meets up with the beast and it transforms and the first match proves the beast too fast and strong for Grendizer, blocking it from connecting with the Spazer. The Mecha crashes onto the ground with such force, an explosion created and think he had won, Zurin orders Zari to attack a nearby city; Koji and Dambei running to fight it. Umon and Hikaru contact Duke, who (reminded of the bird) has a memory of having own himself a Zari Zari in his childhood.

Side Note 2: the damn thing was tiny and adorable, small enough to fit in your hand. The effects of the destruction of Planet Zari with Vegatron causing it to mutate into a the beast that it is now - and yes, it is implied this Zari is the same one from Duke's childhood because the beast did a flying loop maneuver Duke remember from its old pet; it and others of its kind were affected by Vegatron, and by the time Vega took over, found the last living member of the species on the whole planet having defeated the others.

Back in the city, Koji and Dambei distract the creature sufficiently to lead it out of the city, when they meet up with Grendizer, who showed up for Round 2 with the Beast. The 2nd match was brief, though Zari takes advantage at first, Duke unleashes Double Harken, cutting the beast's tail, making it crash; Zari Zari then lunges towards the Mecha to impaled it, but Grendizer holds it by the horn. The monster tries to break the hold on it when the Mecha grabs it and throws it away, immediately disposing of it with Space Thunder.

After the battle, the others release the now healthy bird, Koji dumbfounded the creature was once Duke's pet, which Umon explaining Zari Zari nature was change by Vegatron, making it grow and become aggressive; however, it too was a victim of Vega's warmongering Malice. Duke replies a similar fate could befallen to life on Earth, and these is something to not neglect.
