WOW. Well, don't judge him by season 1 of Buffy, it gets so frakkin amazing in season 2-3 and is just amazing in 7. Season 7 blew me away. ;) Angel season 5 was also quite amazing. ;) I love everything Joss ever made. ;)

I heart me some Giles as well. I mostly enjoy the show 10x more whenever he's on screen. Progressing rapidly, watching in on Youtube now because I'm on a long waiting list for S3 dvds, though all the episodes are mirrored which is slightly odd... Anyway, Giles- thoroughly amused that he acquired an authentic London accent in "Band Candy."

Already to S3? Dayum girl. XD So, good times or what? I think I started *really* enjoying the show after the Innocence/Surprise two-parter in S2. Things got way more interesting when shit hit the fan and Angel temporarily became an epic villain. Also, I Spike and Dru are ftw so S2 in general outshines S1. <3 What else have you encountered? Have you met Faith yet?

Yeah, looks like they've got up to season four on Youtube from user BuffyBaseTV. And currently being uploaded (most recent vid from S4 uploaded an hour ago). But all the episodes are mirrored, so like the text is backwards and so are established sets.

yeah, S2 was definitely an improvement when things really got going, but it needed S1 to build upon or it wouldn't have worked. Needed that time to build up the characters and the audience's sympathy toward them.

Angel strikes me as a character I would have *loved* if I'd seen the show about ten years ago. As such, it's kinda "been there done that" for me, but we'll see if he can surprise me yet.

Did I ever tell you Kuro was originally a vampire character? :D I had a vampire phase a long long time ago. Then at some point she just kinda... turned into a fox.

Also, Giles needs more hugs. Seriously. Way more hugs.

Yay Faith! I can't help but enjoy her for some reason. I must admit I find her and Buffy in the ep "Bad Girls" to be ridiculous hot. I think I prefer Eliza's handling of Faith to Echo, too.

Getting attached to the characters in S1 definitely is important. Which is unfortunate, because it does make it hard to sell to folks who might enjoy the show later on but would be warded off by the camp at the onset.

Angel changes in flavor as a character once he gets his own show, and develops a hell of a lot more. You definitely have plenty in store to enjoy, thar. :D And buahaha, I had no idea Kuro began as a vamp. That's awesome. XD

Hmm. I haven't had problems with dropping frames in awhile. I did in Germany, but I'd just figured that was due to the Hotspot shield I had to use as an in-between to mask my IP address (usually that site only works in the US). Just try restarting your browser and reloading the episode whenever it misbehaves, I guess? That's what I would have to do. :3 Alternatively, if it gets frustrating, a not quite as nice as that but better than Youtube option (and not mirrored) is sidereel.com.

I'm still working my way through Buffy and Angel for the first time. Nearly finished with Buffy season 6 and Angel season 3. Absolutely love it.

Oh! Well yes, that is necessary if you have not. Firefly was my first Whedon show. :D <3 it so much. And then Dr. Horrible and Dollhouse. Buffy and Angel are the last I had to get around to.

Yep! Awhile back. Got the songs stuck in my head constantly thereafter. Finished the season, now. Still have three more episodes of Angel S3 though before I can move on it Buffy.

Oh, no, it's a rewatch. Still, I'll finish rewatching Firefly before starting on Buffy again.

And yes, those songs are great... They're still the songs I sing second-most, after the Dr. Horrible songs.
