In case you didn't know, June is Pride month. And I am very excited to spread the word.
Now, Pride to me isn't about being gay. To me, Pride is about celebrating the uniqueness in everyone, regardless of if they're gay or straight, and regardless of their gender identity. Everyone is unique, and orientation/gender is just a part of who we are. If we start to categorize ourselves by our differences, how will we ever get along?
Today, I urge you to make an effort to understand someone who is not like you are, whether they are straight, bi, gay, transgender, or even if they have a difference that doesn't fit into any of that.
We are all humans struggling to make peace with this crazy world; we are all the same, even with our differences.

Testify, dude. I can completely get behind that. You don't need to be gay or have an opposite gender identity to appreciate human individuality. It's one of the things that makes us an interesting species.
Something something, snowflakes, something something, our differences are our common grounds.
