“Why do they call him ‘the Chosen’? Chosen by what? Who?”
“If you know what’s good for you, you’ll stop askin’. Sayin’ his name is bad luck.”
– Bren and Tagg, two of Ryugo’s lieutenants.
In fifty five years, Ryugo has collected many titles and accolades: Champion of the Blackstone Gladiator Arena. Slayer of mighty Galewing, the Infernal Roc. Bandit Chieftain. Lord of the Rimeroot Kobold tribe but no title seems to matter save for 'The Chosen'. Few know its origin and fewer still will speak of it.
As a child, his father, Ulbaz, bound a piece of his soul to him by carving runes into his skin; a gift that would provide awesome power but give Ulbaz a path to forcefully re-incarnate, and posses his body.
Ryugo witnessed unfathomable cruelties as his father ascended to lichdom, cruelest of all was dispatching his mother once Ryugo could survive without her. As a child Ryugo would swear revenge on his father and would move heaven and earth to get it. He lives his life for this vengeance; amassing power and wealth any way that he can to eventually destroy his father's Phylacteries and rid the world of his retched existence, knowing all the while that to accomplish this, Ryugo too must die.

So this is probably the commission I am most proud of. Ryugo the Chosen is a villain-turned-anti-hero in my D&D campaign. Son of the endgame boss, an old-god worshipping Dracolich (that's exactly what it sounds like-- a dragon lich) that's desperately trying to dispatch his dad. he was originally meant to reveal the means to kill him (how to find the phylacteries, and drop a big reveal that he himself is a Phylactery).
Affectionately called "Daddy Issues" by the party, he became a bit of a favorite of theirs and of mine and I really wanted to put a face to the name.
He's a half blue dragon (pallid color palette due to all the spooky lich runes on his body) so if you know what a Blue dragon looks like in D&D, you know they are a special breed of Ugly mofo -- Enter
Reezah who somehow managed to turn him into a damn good lookin' fellow. I cant thank you enough for your hard work on this piece. He's better than I ever imagined and my players jaw dropped when they saw him for the first time. You put so much work in for him and it shows-- I am so glad I commissioned you for this. I hope I get to work with you on more characters some day!
