If you're really gunning to work on anatomy, it's really best not to copy poses from photographs or rely on them heavily. If there is a local park or something, try doing just general gesture sketches of people and work up from there. Photographs have warps to them, and if no one is explaining the building of form or what you're drawing underneath the skin, it has no real lasting effects when it comes to your art.
