Edmonton Transit Service 8017 is a 2020 Proterra Catalyst BE40 E2 Max. Having hit the streets in July 2020 in Edmonton, I took the opportunity it track it and grab some shots when it passed by my home while on my day off. Welcome back to the electric age Edmonton!
Edmonton used to have electric trolleybuses, but the system was abandoned in May of 2009

The contruction you see in the background has since wrapped up for the most part with TransEd partners and Epcor working on stringing the Pantograph wire for the new Valley Line LRT
