Sometimes I like to go and find vaguely-known freeware painting programs just to mess around in them and see what they can do. AzPainter2 is probably one of the better ones I've tried. It's a Japanese program very similar to SAI (it's has color blending too). You can find the English translated version of it here: http://sai.detstwo.com/sai/files/azpainter-en.rar

You don't need to install it, the application comes with the .rar file. It's worth a try.

The creature in the picture is known as a Stalker. They're a race of short, all-female humanoids, known for being thieves and compulsive hoarders, that love to rob unsuspecting humans that wander into the woods alone. They'll eagerly collect anything they can take from their victim, especially if it's jewelry. This one has so far collected three earrings, a shoelace (tied around the end of her braid), and a lit lantern.
