Ha ha we did that with an older cat we used to have. He was a long haired Tabby cat gray in color. Looked -real- funny and he hated us afterwards XD

I wish we still had him...but his hate lasted year round after we started doing it and he ended up peeing on our son when he was first born...so yeah goodbye kitty.

But...she doesnt like being brushed. She'll tear me appart...

So instead you wait for it to build up, putting her in tonnes of pain, only to risk her life by putting her under anesthesia in order to get shaved.

A responsible owner is not you!

Instead of letting it get this bad, grow a pair and hold the cat by her scruff and someone else holding her back paws so you can brush her. Or be worth a shit and slowly introduce the brush to her in a positive way, and get her to accept it. How much do you want to bet her hate of brushing is because you or someone else was rough and hurt her with one before, or you're using one of those shitty painful brushes under the idea it's effective? While I don't like the idea of traumatizing her further to hold her down and brush her when she needs it, it's a HELL of a lot better than risking your cat's life for your laziness.

Lose the excuses. Trim her nails. Get some Soft Paws. Do SOMETHING other than waiting for it to get bad and then putting her under a needle.
