Having to judge so many souls can work up quite the appetite. All the servants of Anubis makes sure their deity is well fed so he can do his job properly. I am pretty sure some of these servants are making sure the jackal headed god has his in between snacks throughout the day to keep him well fed for some afterlife perks.
