I drew dragons once

figured I should uh, draw one again. Meet Ashen, a character I never actually designed (or if I did I don’t remember) because he appeared in one fic I wrote like six years ago and haven’t really looked back at since. In fact, said fic is entirely on notebook paper and I’ve been unable to find it so.

Well anyway, Ashen is the third child of my OC Oryps, and the second one she has with her husband Jacob. Oryps’s middle child, Morzen, was sired from Malefor. It’s a long story and she doesn’t like to think about it, and I’m not gonna go into it here.

As the youngest sibling, Ashen feels overshadowed by his older brother and sister, both of whom have powerful elemental abilities and are generally good fighters, his sister Voltis especially so. Ashen is determined to be just as strong as them so he gains a fierce competitive streak and can be a bit of a dick to people that he feels are underestimating him.

Don’t worry though, he’s really a good lad and he grows out of that attitude eventually. Also his name is very fitting because for a long time, whenever he tried to breathe fire he would just cough up ashes. But he got it eventually!
