This is from a very old contest i conducted on ocremix.org, and it is a remix of the Metropolis Zone theme.
The first few seconds is an excerpt from "Sonic and the Death Cheese", and is copyright to Instant Sonic, or whoever the heck put out that crazy wonderful audio skit.

I think my main problem with this mix is the very repetitive and grating percussion; crash cymbals are nice and everything, but I think the lack of variety in the rest of the percussion doesn't particularly justify them. I also think that really deep synth could be a bit more active or maybe be in a higher octave or something. Dunno, but it doesn't really catch my attention as much as I'd hoped it to.
Still, this is pretty cool! Definitely a good addition to my favorites.

Thanks for the feedback!
You're right on all counts. I went into this contest with 1 idea: Crash Cymbal Every Beat.
Turns out i did that part right, lol.
The mix just kind of shows up and hangs out, it doesn't do much. It's good for "jamming" while you're doing something else, lol. Obviously that's not a great thing to have in a song, but it IS based on background music in the first place, so maybe that's allowable.
I wish i could've fleshed the song out more, but i just didn't feel there was anywhere i could go that would make ME enjoy it any more without making it feel broken.
It didn't come last, i'm happy about that part. :D
