Just contemplating the sunrise, it's good for the soul.
So, i got this wonderful description for this image by
bh15 Go check his amazing work!
"Far and aways, on some islands far from home, dawn had come. Gentle rays of gold spilled across the sandy beach and slowly winding its way up the nearby rocky hill. And stirring with the sun was an obscene mass of blue and yellow. Uncurling his tremendous bulk, Felix felt the morning rays on his scale. His long, thick neck rising upwards, the large dragon flexed his pudgy claws and found his footing. Trees around his nest bend and twisted as his moved his calamitous bulk up. Swaying with the waves of Dreamland still clouding his mind, the titanic dragon waddled towards the hill. His enormous bulk carved a line in the dirt all the way to the edge, upon which he placed his chubby claws. Heaving himself up, the sleepy dragon caught the dawning sun, and he felt at-ease as a new day began upon his newest nest."
Felix belongs to me.

When I see amazing art like this, it makes me realize I don't spend enough time on my own art.
If you don't mind, I would like to ask some questions:
How long did this take? What program do you prefer using for digital art? What canvas size do you start at?
I really like your dragon by the way.

Hi, really happy you like my art and Dragon.
About the questions:
Fisrt your art ir pretty good i really like it.
It took me 24h to finish, but that because I'm sloooow.
I do all my art on Illustrator and i generally start with an A4 canvas size (21cm x 29.7cm) and adjust accordingly. This one i started on an A3 canvas size (30cm x 42cm) . But the size doesn't really matter, it's vector art so i can just resize it without losing quality.
If you want to talk more, juat send me a note. :)

Oh! It's vector art, no wonder it's so crisp and smooth. 8O
So I guess you don't use pixels then? I don't think Gimp has or ever will have vector tools.
And wow, your starting canvas is small. But that makes sense if your not using pixels.
My starting canvas size I use is 3000px by 3000px, it's the only way I can add more detail without it looking like crap.
24 hours? No wonder this is a masterpiece. I always feel the need to rush to the finish line, cause I want to see the finished piece.
I guess I really do need to get myself to relax more and take my time and experiment more. Cause, art isn't a race after all. o.0
Thank you for answering my questions.
